Pavilion Rentals

Members can rent SHRA’s pavilion for a private function. A 2-hour rental includes the pavilion, its grills, and the pool and tennis courts (subject to swim / dive meet and tennis match availability) for your family and up to 20 guests (non-members, aged 3 years and older. Members do not count towards your guest total). Additional guests can be accommodated (an additional $40 for each block of 10 guests). Weekend parties are limited to 40 guests total.
Check for availability on your preferred date using the Scheduling menu on your online membership account, and cross-check with the online SHRA calendar for any potential conflicts. Keep an eye out for swim or dive meets in the evenings since they impact pool availability (no swimming during swim meets, limited swimming during dive meets).

We don’t allow booking an event on Memorial Day, July 4th, or Labor Day weekend because those days are the busiest weekends and coordination of space and guests is very difficult.

All events must have a responsible adult onsite for the duration of the event as the coordinator. The event coordinator must check in with the Manager on duty at least 15 minutes prior to event to discuss any details.

After you’ve read through the details below, please purchase your pavilion rental package online by logging into your membership and selecting the Facility Rental option in the Scheduling menu. Remember, it is a 2-hour time block. Setting up for your event and tearing down afterwards are included in the two hours.

You can assume that if your payment for a pavilion rental is accepted then your booking is good. However, SHRA reserves the right to cancel any reservation – you will be contacted if there needs to be a change. Your reservation will be visible in your online desktop calendar.

On the day of your event, please check in with the pool manager on duty so he knows where to send your guests. Also provide the manager a “by name” list of your guests. Your guests should check in at the front desk to have their names crossed off and receive a wrist band.

During your event, exercise due care with glass containers and hot grills. Please leave yourself enough time in your 2-hour rental to tear down and thoroughly clean up to ensure:

  • Trash around party area has been cleaned up and put into trashcans. Large trash items put near firepit.
  • Furniture that was used is cleaned and returned back to original location if moved into pavilion.
  • All clothing, towels, and personal belongings have been removed.
  • Party decorations have been removed.
  • Grills have been turned off, spills cleaned up, and put back where they came from.

Pavilion Rental Process Summary:

  1. Read all the pavilion rental requirements on this page.
  2. Sign into your member account and check for availability.
  3. Make your payment online by logging into your account, purchasing the pavilion rental package and selecting your preferred date
  4. Your payment receipt of your rental reservation is your confirmation for the day/time indicated. SHRA reserves the right to cancel or request rescheduling of any pavilion rental.
  5. If you did not receive the confirmation email described above, and you believe you have an upcoming reservation, please contact info@shrasharks.org ASAP.
  6. Provide the pool manager with a by name list of your guests.

Frequently Asked Questions:

  • How long is a rental? Two hours
  • If it rains, can I reschedule or get a refund? Yes
  • If I need to cancel, can I get a refund? Yes, you will receive a full refund if you cancel at least 48 hours prior to the start of your event. If you cancel within 48 hours of the start of your event, a $25 administrative fee will apply. You may cancel your reservation from within your online account via the “My Schedule” menu or send a cancellation request to info@shrasharks.org.
  • Do invitees who are pool members count against the guest total? No.
  • Should I avoid bringing glass items? Yes, definitely! If you do, please be careful.
  • Should I clean up when finished? Yes, definitely! Use this list as a cleanup guide to ensure:
    • Trash around party area has been cleaned up and put into trashcans. Large trash items put near firepit.
    • Furniture that was used is cleaned and returned back to original location if moved into pavilion.
    • All clothing, towels, and personal belongings have been removed.

  • Am I responsible for my guest’s behavior? Yes, definitely!
  • What times can I rent it? Pool is open from 11am until 8pm most days, check home page for times and calendar for pool availability.
